May 15th is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, or GAAD for short. While GAAD was nearly 6 months ago, accessibility is an everyday principle. This year, I got to team up with my best friend from since I was about 4 years old, bringing our passions together, and talk about digital accessibility in the web design space.
I was featured in a guest blog post on CRJ Design, talking about 3 ways we can make the online space more accessible to everyone. I got to talk about my favourite accessibility blunder, when Susan Boyle’s Album release party was announced via a hashtag that didn’t use Camel Case. Camel Case is where the first letter of every work in a hashtag is capitalised. For example, #SusanAlbumParty instead of #susanalbumparty.
