2025 bought me so many full-circle moments. One of which was being asked to be a judge for the 2025 Sense awards! Each year, the Sense awards highlight inspirational people in the disability and DeafBlindness space with different categories of award. In 2022, I was awarded the Sense ‘Person of the Year’ award for my work bringing disability inclusion into the drag space and the STEM space.

Judging the 2025 awards was incredibly difficult, as the quality of the shortlist was so high. It was full of amazing people doing amazing things, which made my job very challenging. Luckily, I was able to choose 3 winners from each category, but I still had to rank them. Everyone who was nominated, and everyone who was shortlisted, should be so proud of themselves.
