British Science Week takes place in March, and is a celebration of science, research, development, and innovation. The theme for 2025 was “Change and Adapt”. So what better year to collaborate with Deaf Identity?
Having practically lived in Deaf Identity clothing for the past 5 years, I was delighted when they agreed to collaborate with me. I “shot my shot”, as they say, and told them about British Science Week, their theme of change and adapt, and shared how as a Deaf Scientist I change and adapt every day.
We had so much fun creating our campaign, coming up with the designs, and thinking about social media. Luke was thankfully able to turn my squiggly diagrams into something beautiful. The final product was an embroidered DEAF in STEM design that could be fully customised with t-shirt or hoodie colour, and thread colours for each part of the text.

The campaign ran for the entirety of March, on a limited time basis, but may return for science celebrations in the future! Keep an eye out on Deaf Identity’s social media…
